Yellowhead Road and Bridge (Nicola) Ltd.

The Yellowhead Road & Bridge (Nicola) Ltd team strives for maintenance excellence, equipment innovation and community involvement. Since the arrival of YRB to the area there have been many challenges to overcome. Devastating wildfires in 2020, floods in 2021 and other weather events have provided many challenges for the YRB Nicola team. These challenges have been faced head on by an enthusiastic group effort with collaborations across the province. YRB Nicola in a joint effort with Kiewit and various contractors were able to open the Coquihalla highway on December 20th, 2021 to restore commercial vehicle transportation after the devastating floods that occurred on November 14th, 2021. This was a significant transportation disruption in the heart of British Columbia and our team was able to contribute to the engineering marvel that occurred during repair. A large portion highway 8, highway 1 and various other roads were affected during the 2021 floods and ongoing work continues to restore all transportation routes back to normal. Our team members are dedicated to providing levels of service that exceed that of the maintenance specifications and continue to evolve their operations to align with the changing climate conditions.
